French toast

Overview

Slightly obsessed with these. Somehow every time we have them we end up with enough energy to completely re-landscape the garden.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (240ml) Soy milk

  • 2 tbsp Plain flour

  • 2 tbsp Nutritional yeast

  • 2 tbsp Brown sugar

  • 1 tsp Cinnamon

  • ½ tsp Vanilla extract

  • Pinch of salt

  • 6 Bread slices or 10 Baguette slices (stale)

Method

Preparation

  1. In a medium-sized bowl, mix soy milk, flour, nutritional yeast, sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, and salt.

  2. Dip each slice of bread into mixture, flipping to ensure entire slice is covered.

Cooking

  1. Place a large frying pan over medium heat and add butter.

  2. Cook until golden brown and a little crispy.

  3. Serve with maple syrup.
